Pafos FC in advanced talks to sign Koba Koindredi
Pafos FC is in the final stages of negotiations to sign 24-year-old midfielder Koba Koindredi from Sporting CP. The player, who is surplus to requirements at the Portuguese club, is expected to join the Cypriot team as they seek to strengthen their roster following the serious injury of Zaza. Negotiations have been facilitated by the excellent relationship between the two clubs.
Koindredi, born in Djibouti and having represented France at youth levels, joined Sporting in 2024 for a fee of 4.25 million euros. His career includes stints at Lens, Valencia, Real Oviedo, and Estoril. Over the last two seasons, he was loaned to Lausanne and Basel, recording 41 appearances and two goals for the latter. He is a versatile midfielder capable of playing as a box-to-box player or a defensive midfielder, with experience in the Champions League, Europa League, and La Liga. While Swiss club Servette was also considered a potential destination, reports indicate the player is now set to move to Cyprus.
