Pafos FC linked with Sporting CP midfielder Koba Koindredi
Pafos FC has emerged as a potential destination for 24-year-old midfielder Koba Koindredi, according to reports from Sporting Lisbon expert Dr. Flavio Costa. The French-born Djibouti international is currently surplus to requirements at Sporting CP, despite being under contract with the Portuguese club until 2028. The Swiss club Servette is also reportedly interested in the player.
Koindredi began his career at Lens before spells at Valencia, Real Oviedo, Estoril, and Sporting, which acquired him in 2024 for 4.25 million euros. Over the last two years, he has played on loan at Lausanne and Basel, making 41 appearances and scoring two goals for the latter last season. Basel declined to exercise their option to purchase the player permanently this summer. A versatile midfielder who operates as a box-to-box player or a defensive midfielder, Koindredi brings experience from the Champions League qualifiers, the Europa League, and La Liga.
The transfer interest is supported by the strong professional relationship between Pafos FC and Sporting CP. While no official deal has been finalized, the player's status as an outcast at his parent club makes a move likely during the current transfer window.
