Milan Vitalis expected to join AEK Athens from ETO Gyor

Hungarian international midfielder Milan Vitalis, 24, is reportedly nearing a transfer from Hungarian champions ETO Gyor to AEK Athens. The move follows a reported internal conflict between the player and Gyor's new coach, Efrain Juarez. Media sources suggest the transfer fee could reach 2.5 million euros for the midfielder, who is currently under contract with the Hungarian club until 2027.

Born in 2002, Vitalis is a versatile player capable of operating in the midfield or on the left flank. While Hungarian reports describe the negotiations as advanced, AEK Athens has not yet issued an official confirmation. A significant obstacle for the Greek side is that Vitalis is ineligible to participate in the upcoming Champions League playoffs, as he has already represented Gyor in the tournament's first qualifying round.

Vitalis, a product of Gyor's youth system, has also gained experience in Slovakia with Samorin and Dunajska Streda. He has earned eight caps for the Hungarian national team. The potential acquisition aligns with AEK's goal of immediate midfield reinforcement under coach Marko Nikolic, although official club statements regarding the selection remain pending.
