Cyprus cultural events and film festivals update for August 2026

Cyprus enters the final month of summer with a series of cultural activities and film screenings. The 21st Limassol International Documentary Festival is taking place from August 1 to August 8, 2026, at the Lanitis Carob Mill near the Medieval Castle of Limassol. The event features diverse documentary works, including the opening film 'One in a Million' by Itab Azzam and Jack MacInnes, and subsequent screenings such as 'The Golden Spurtle', 'The Heart of the Bull', and 'Closure'.

Simultaneously, Nicosia continues its 27th Summer Film Marathon at the Constantia open-air cinema, running until September 13. Screenings occur from Wednesday to Sunday at 9:00 p.m., featuring films like the French comedy 'The President's Wife' and the Norwegian dramedy 'Sex'.
