Cyprus U18 Men's National Handball team arrives in Telavi for EHF Championship II

The Cyprus Men's U18 National Handball team departed on Saturday, August 1, 2026, for Telavi, Georgia, to participate in the Men’s 18 EHF Championship II 2026. The week-long international tournament officially began following the team's arrival, with the competition schedule spanning from August 2 to August 9, 2026.

The Cypriot squad, led by head coach Petros Prokopiou, includes 16 players: Antonis Alexandrou, Anastasios Georgiou, Stamatis Avraam, Herodotus Herodotou, Markos Karagiorgis, Joseph Yusselli, Anastasios Fterakidis, Grigoris Georgiou, Antonios Hatzichristodoulou, Savvas Kyprianou, Iakovos Liasi, Ektoras Pavlos Psyllidis, Sozos Gregoriou, Stavros Stylianou, Theodoros Hatzianandreou, and Michalis Tanakidis. The delegation is headed by Neophytos Neophytou, with Petros Konstantinidis serving as team manager, Stefanos Fterakidis as assistant coach, and Eirineos Christodoulou as the physiotherapist.

During the tournament, Cyprus will face Belgium, Kosovo, Georgia, Great Britain, and Bulgaria in the preliminary stage. The group matches are scheduled between August 2 and August 8. The tournament concludes on August 9 with the final ranking matches, which will determine the overall standings of the participating nations.
