AEL Limassol begins training camp in Poland

AEL Limassol has traveled to the Sielanka Sport Centre in Poland for the main stage of its pre-season preparations, scheduled to last until August 12, 2026. Under the guidance of coach Hugo Martins, the team is focusing on building squad chemistry and testing new tactical formations ahead of the upcoming official season. The club recently confirmed that the transfer of 30-year-old midfielder Morten Bjørlo collapsed after the player failed medical examinations.

In their opening exhibition match held on August 3, the team played to a 1-1 draw against Legia Warsaw, with Luther Singh scoring the equalizer in the 83rd minute. The squad is scheduled to face Atromitos Athens on August 6 and Radomiak on August 9. Beyond these friendlies, the club's management has identified the recruitment of a central midfielder and a central defender as primary transfer priorities, while continuing to evaluate forward Hamza Catakovic as a key offensive asset.
