AEL Limassol continues pre-season training in Poland
AEL Limassol is currently holding its primary pre-season training camp at the Sielanka Sport Centre in Poland, where the squad will remain until August 12. Head coach Hugo Martins is utilizing this period to refine the team's tactical identity and integrate new players. As part of their preparation, the team played a friendly match against Legia Warsaw on August 3, which ended in a 1-1 draw after a goal from Luther Singh in the 85th minute. The match was played in three 30-minute segments, allowing Martins to rotate 22 players.
The club is continuing its transfer efforts, prioritizing the acquisition of a central midfielder and a central defender. Recent developments included the failed transfer of 30-year-old midfielder Morten Bjørlo, which reports suggest fell through due to medical test results, although the team has since confirmed the signing of player Hamza Čataković. Additionally, the club officially announced that Kostantini has departed via transfer. Following the Legia match, the team is scheduled to play further friendlies against Atromitos Athens on August 6 and Radomiak Radom on August 9, aiming to be fully prepared for the upcoming competitive season.
