AEL Limassol in advanced negotiations for Mikel Villanueva

AEL Limassol is moving to strengthen its defensive line by pursuing the acquisition of the 33-year-old Venezuelan central defender, Mikel Villanueva. Although the club previously signed Andreas Karo and Stefano Denswil, reports indicate that negotiations for Villanueva have resumed and are now at an advanced stage. According to journalist Alex Yanez, an agreement between the two parties is expected to be finalized in the coming days, paving the way for the player to join the team in Cyprus.

Villanueva brings extensive experience, having played for clubs such as Malaga, Cadiz, and Vitoria Guimaraes. During the most recent season, the defender played in the Saudi Pro League for Al-Fayha, where he accumulated 2,517 minutes of playing time.
