AEL Limassol confirms transfer of Facundo Costantini to SJK
Brazilian central defender Facundo Costantini has officially departed from AEL Limassol to join the Finnish club SJK. The move follows a period of uncertainty for the player, who had been excluded from coach Hugo Martins' plans since the beginning of the summer after returning from a loan spell at Beroe. Costantini was notably omitted from the club's training camp in Poland, signaling that his future lay outside the Cypriot team despite having one year left on his contract.
AEL FC Ltd confirmed the transfer on August 2, 2026, stating that they have secured a sell-on clause regarding any future sale of the player. Additionally, the agreement includes performance-based bonuses tied to specific athletic goals. The club expressed gratitude to the defender for his professionalism and cooperation throughout his tenure. This transfer allows Costantini to move on permanently as he seeks to establish himself at his new club in Finland.
