AEK concludes Netherlands training camp with victory over Sint-Truiden

AEK Athens concluded its pre-season training camp in the Netherlands on August 2, 2026, with a 3-0 friendly match victory over the Belgian club Sint-Truiden. The match took place in the city of Mill behind closed doors, serving as the final preparatory test for the team before returning to Athens via charter flight.

Throughout their Dutch preparation, managed by coach Marko Nikolic, the team played several matches, recording three wins against De Graafschap (2-1), Groningen (2-1), and Zwolle (3-2), a draw with Vitesse, and a loss against Samsunspor. Following this final victory, the squad will receive a three-day break before resuming training at the Spata facilities.

Looking ahead to the upcoming official season, AEK Athens is scheduled to play one final friendly, a 'dress rehearsal' match against Athens Kallithea on August 8 in Nea Filadelfeia. This fixture will occur shortly before the Greek Super Cup, which represents the team's first official competitive commitment.
