Panathinaikos in negotiations for Levi Garcia

Panathinaikos has launched a serious effort to acquire 28-year-old forward Levi Garcia, who currently plays for Spartak Moscow. The player, who gained prominence in Greece during his five-year tenure at AEK Athens (2020-2025), has requested to leave the Russian club despite his contract running until 2027. Panathinaikos views the Trinidad and Tobago international as an ideal fit for manager Jacob Neestrup’s tactical philosophy, highlighting his athleticism, speed, and proven ability to contribute across the offensive line.

Negotiations are currently underway between the two clubs. Panathinaikos has reportedly offered a one-year loan fee of 800,000 euros, with an option to buy the player next summer for 10 million euros. While Spartak Moscow initially demanded 2.5 million euros for the loan, they have lowered their asking price to 1.5 million euros. Regarding personal terms, Garcia currently earns 3.5 million euros in Moscow but is reportedly nearing an agreement with the Greek club for a 2.5 million euro salary.

If finalized, the transfer would see the return of the prolific striker to Greek football, where he previously recorded 56 goals and 27 assists in 160 appearances for AEK. The club and the player are working toward an immediate deal, with negotiations ongoing to bridge the remaining financial gap.
