Olympiacos targets midfield reinforcements with Braganca and Souza

Olympiacos is currently intensifying efforts to strengthen its midfield as the team prepares for a match against NEC Nijmegen on Monday, August 4, at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium. The club is actively scouting new talent to finalize their roster before the transfer window closes.

The primary target for the Piraeus-based club is 27-year-old Sporting Lisbon midfielder Daniel Braganca. While no formal offer has been submitted yet, negotiations are ongoing, with agent Jorge Mendes reportedly involved in facilitating the discussions. Additionally, Olympiacos has identified 27-year-old Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Souza, who currently plays for Wolfsburg, as a potential alternative. Souza, who previously played for Flamengo, Espanyol, and Sheffield United, is also under evaluation by the club management.

At present, the club is balancing these transfer activities with their immediate competitive schedule. No official deals have been finalized for either player, but both individuals remain high on the team's shortlist as the management continues to evaluate options.
