APOEL completes pre-season camp in the Netherlands and returns to Cyprus
APOEL has officially concluded its pre-season training stage in the Netherlands and returned to Cyprus to finalize preparations for the upcoming season. During the Dutch camp, the team faced Fortuna Sittard in a match that ended in a 1-2 defeat, despite a notable free-kick goal scored by Joan Sastre. Coach Nikos Papadopoulos used these sessions to evaluate his squad, which includes new signings such as Limnios, Aggelopoulos, Garcia, Pedroso, Sastre, Manduca, and Djuricic.
Moving forward, the club is focusing on refining its roster and tactical setup. An initially planned friendly match against Karmiotissa was cancelled, so the team will now host Kifisia at the GSP Stadium on August 8 at 20:00. Additional friendlies are scheduled against Anorthosis on August 16 and Olympiacos on August 22. Meanwhile, management, including Zisis Vryzas and coach Papadopoulos, continues efforts to secure further reinforcements, with Facundo Perez remaining a top target for the defensive midfield position, despite ongoing negotiations with Lanus.
