APOEL concludes Dutch training camp and finalizes pre-season schedule

APOEL Nicosia has officially concluded its pre-season training camp in the Netherlands following a 1-2 friendly match defeat against Fortuna Sittard. During the match, Sastre scored for the Cypriot team via a direct free kick, while manager Nikos Papadopoulos utilized the opportunity to evaluate tactical adjustments. Key players including Dalsio were sidelined for the fixture, and Garcia was substituted as a precautionary measure to prevent injury.

Upon returning to Cyprus, the team will shift focus toward final preparations for the upcoming season, with seven new signings—Limnios, Angelopoulos, Garcia, Pedroso, Sastre, Mantouka, and Djuricic—undergoing integration. The club has finalized its local friendly schedule: a match against Kifisia is set for August 9 at GSP Stadium, followed by encounters with Anorthosis on August 16 and Olympiacos on August 22. Notably, the previously scheduled friendly against Karmiotissa has been officially cancelled. Fans will have the opportunity to attend an open training session this Wednesday at the THOI stadium before the team transitions into its final phase of preparation.
