Cyprus Seeds strengthens research commercialization at DOERS Summit 2026
Cyprus Seeds participated in the DOERS Summit 2026 held in Limassol to promote the commercialization of scientific research and foster entrepreneurship. The organization hosted its fourth “Out of the Lab” innovation showcase on May 22, 2026, alongside its inaugural “Investors’ Hour.” These events were designed to bridge the gap between academic research developed in Cyprus and the global market by connecting researchers and start-ups with international investors, industry experts, and policymakers.
The sessions featured collaboration with major international and local entities, including the MIT Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation, DTU Skylab, the Research and Innovation Foundation, and the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy. Investment firms and corporate venture arms represented at the event included Samsung Ventures, Bulba Ventures, Kos Biotechnology Partners, Uni.Fund, 33East, Eleon Capital, Mohari Hospitality, Eurobank Cyprus, Berytech, and Plug and Play.
This initiative aimed to encourage dialogue on turning scientific breakthroughs into viable business products. By facilitating access to international expertise and venture capital, the events sought to provide a structured platform for Cyprus-based projects to scale and achieve global competitiveness within the innovation ecosystem.
