Cyprus pledges assistance to Greece amid deadly wildfires and helicopter crash

Two firefighting helicopters collided while attempting to combat a blaze in the area. The collision resulted in the deaths of a Danish pilot and a Greek fire brigade liaison officer. A second helicopter involved in the incident managed to make an emergency landing with its British pilot and a Greek co-coordinator surviving, although the aircraft sustained damage.
