Cyprus sports updates: Beach volleyball championships and national team schedules

The Cyprus Volleyball Federation hosted the final two rounds of the 2026 National Beach Volleyball Championship at the National Beach Training Center in Limassol on August 1–2, 2026. The event featured 21 participating pairs, with the top 16 teams competing in the main draw. Matches commenced early each morning, including several women's open divisions and men's open categories, with the finals concluding on August 2.

Simultaneously, the Cyprus Football Association announced the autumn 2026 schedule for its national teams. The U-21 squad will compete in three Euro 2027 qualifying matches against Romania (September 25), Kosovo (September 30), and San Marino (October 6). The U-19 national youth team will participate in the European Championship League B, facing Albania on November 11 and Armenia on November 17, with the group winner advancing to League A. Additionally, the U-19 team has scheduled four friendly matches against Moldova and Malta between late September and early October.
