Update on Cyprus volleyball championships and football season schedules

The Cyprus Volleyball Federation recently hosted the final two rounds of the 2026 National Beach Volley Championship at the National Beach Training Center in Limassol, featuring 21 pairs competing in the main draw. Building on this momentum, the federation has announced the inaugural National Mixed Beach Volley Tournament, scheduled for August 8, 2026, at the same federal facilities in Limassol.

In the football sector, the schedule for the 2026-2027 season for youth national teams was confirmed. The U-21 national team will conclude its European Championship qualifying campaign with three matches between September and October. Additionally, the U-19 national team will compete in the B-League of the European Championship, with matches against Albania and Armenia scheduled for November, preceded by a series of friendly matches. The domestic U-19 First Division football championship draw also took place, featuring 14 teams with the season set to begin on September 11-13 and conclude in late April 2027.
