Cyprus choreography showcase set for september 2026

The 4th Cyprus Choreography Showcase is scheduled to take place from September 18 to 20, 2026, at the Rialto Theatre in Limassol. The event is co-organised by the Department of Contemporary Culture of the Deputy Ministry of Culture and the Rialto Theatre to feature eight selected contemporary dance productions. The showcase aims to serve as a bridge between local choreographers and international dance festival directors, with the specific goal of facilitating the promotion of Cypriot works abroad.

The programme begins on September 18 with Panos Malactos’ 'No I’m Not' and Petros Konnaris and Rodia Vomvolou’s 'The future is dark which is the thing a future can be'. Performances on September 19 include Harry Koushos’ 'Not all wars are visible', Evie Demetriou and En Drasi’s 'Say Yes! Again and again', and Milena Ugren Koulas and Stylish Junkies Collective’s 'Mutated Gene'. The final day, September 20, will feature Elena Antoniou’s 'Ode', Melina Sofocleous’ 'Don’t You Just Love Melting?', and Andria Michaelidou’s 'FARMA'. Additionally, the 'MEANWHILE' parallel programme, organised by Nea Kinisi and local dance houses, will host a 'Walking Gathering' at the Molos Open-Air Theatre on September 19.
