Cypriot clubs prepare for UEFA competition third qualifying round and play-off draws

Cypriot football clubs Apollon, Omonia, and Pafos are preparing for the third qualifying round of European competitions. Apollon travels to Norway to face Brann in the Conference League on August 5 at 20:00, with the return leg scheduled for August 11 in Cyprus. Meanwhile, Omonia and Pafos will play their first-leg Europa League matches on August 6 against Lincoln Red Imps and Salzburg, respectively, with their return fixtures set for August 13.

Following the recent UEFA draw, the teams have learned their potential paths for the play-off round. If Apollon advances past Brann, they will face the loser of the PAOK (Greece) versus Anderlecht (Belgium) Europa League match. Omonia, should they be eliminated from the Europa League, will drop to the Conference League play-offs to face the loser between Larne (Northern Ireland) and Iberia (Georgia), while also potentially facing Sint-Truidense (Belgium) in the Europa League play-offs if they succeed. Pafos, in the event of an elimination from the Europa League, will face the winner of the Auda (Latvia) versus Dinamo City (Albania) tie in the Conference League play-offs.
