Georgios Masouras set to transfer from Olympiacos to NEOM SC
Greek international Georgios Masouras is expected to finalize a permanent transfer from Olympiacos to Saudi Arabian club NEOM SC. The 32-year-old winger, who spent the previous season on loan at Al-Khaleej, is scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia this coming Thursday to sign a two-year contract, officially ending his tenure with the Piraeus-based club.
Masouras enjoyed a productive campaign in the Saudi Professional League last season, recording 14 goals and three assists in 34 appearances for Al-Khaleej. After returning to Olympiacos for the start of the current preseason, he is now set to depart the Greek side, where he has been a key figure since his arrival from Panionios in 2019. During his time at Olympiacos, he made 279 appearances, scored 57 goals, and secured three league titles, one Greek Cup, and the 2024 UEFA Conference League trophy. While Italian journalist Rudy Galetti first reported the impending move to NEOM, club insider Kostas Nikolakopoulos later confirmed the details regarding the permanent nature of the transfer and the duration of the upcoming contract.
