Apollon Limassol in advanced negotiations for Joel Asoro

Apollon Limassol is currently engaged in advanced negotiations to acquire the 27-year-old Swedish-Nigerian winger Joel Asoro. The club aims to strengthen its attacking line by signing the versatile forward, who can operate effectively both on the wings and as a central striker. The move is considered a priority to provide additional tactical options for head coach Hernán Losada.

Asoro is currently under contract with the French club FC Metz but is finishing a loan spell at the Swedish side Djurgårdens IF, which concludes on August 15. Apollon Limassol is pushing to finalize the deal as soon as possible to ensure the player is registered in time for the upcoming European matches against Brann. The player brings extensive experience from several European leagues, having previously played for Sunderland in England early in his career.
