Pafos FC prepares for crucial Europa League qualification matches

Pafos FC has arrived in Austria to face Red Bull Salzburg on August 6th in the first leg of the Europa League third qualifying round. Under coach Ricardo Sa Pinto, the Cypriot club aims for a positive result to maintain their chances of reaching the league phase of the tournament. Following the UEFA draw in Nyon, the potential path for Pafos FC in the play-offs has been defined. If Pafos FC overcomes Salzburg, they will face the loser of the Champions League third qualifying round tie between Mjallby and Slovan Bratislava. Slovan Bratislava currently holds a 2-1 advantage against Mjallby following a recent match in Sweden. Conversely, if Pafos FC is eliminated by Salzburg, they will drop down to the Conference League play-offs to face the loser of the tie between Auda and Dynamo City. The first leg of the subsequent play-off stage is scheduled for August 20th, with the return leg to take place at the Alphamega Stadium in Cyprus on August 27th.
