The reopening is the result of collaborative efforts between the Cyprus Police, the Department of Public Works, and Hermes Airports. While the access route is now open to private vehicles for passenger pick-ups, taxis are strictly prohibited from using the arrivals road. Taxi services will continue to operate from designated areas west of the airport buildings, near the bus terminals, while passengers departing by taxi will be directed to the departures level. Authorities have urged drivers to adhere strictly to new signage and police instructions to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow, noting that officers will be on-site to monitor compliance and manage the new arrangements.
