Arsenal reaches agreement with Newcastle for Bruno Guimaraes

Arsenal has finalized an agreement with Newcastle United to acquire 28-year-old midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. The transfer is valued at 87 million euros, marking a major investment for the North London club as they prepare for the upcoming football season.

Guimaraes, a primary target for Arsenal since the previous season, played for Newcastle from 2022 to 2026. During his tenure at the club, he made 195 appearances, scoring 31 goals and providing 32 assists, while also helping the team secure the Carabao Cup in 2025. The move reunites him with teammates such as Christos Tzolis.

The finalization of the deal now awaits the player's arrival in London. Guimaraes is scheduled to undergo mandatory medical examinations before formally signing his contract to complete the transfer.
