Salaries for new cabinet members in Cyprus released
Following a government reshuffle by President Nikos Christodoulides on August 4, 2026, the General Accounting Office of Cyprus has released official data regarding the salaries for the newly appointed officials. These figures, updated as of July 1, 2026, detail the compensation packages for the incoming cabinet members based on their July salary levels, accounting for taxes and institutional deductions.
Newly appointed ministers and deputy ministers, including Transport Minister Evanthia Tsolaki, Agriculture Minister Christos Senekis, Deputy Social Welfare Minister Tina Pavlou, and Deputy Culture Culture Minister Clea Hadjistephanou-Papaellina, will receive a net monthly salary of €6,080, totaling €78,004 annually. Additionally, two new commissioners, Environment Commissioner Elias Myrianthous and Citizen Commissioner Irene Poyiadji, are set to receive a net monthly salary of €5,386, amounting to €70,554 per year. Panayiotis Palates, who was appointed director of the President's office, receives a net monthly salary of €3,267. These calculations represent base figures and exclude other income sources, tax exemptions, or external deductions.
