Cypriot Football Association appoints new judicial body members

On August 5, 2026, the Board of Directors of the Cyprus Football Association (CFA) approved the new composition of its judicial and prosecutorial bodies during a scheduled session. Former judge Yiannis Antoniadis was appointed as the new president of the three-member Judicial Committee. Alongside him, Katerina Georgiou and Aristotelis Vryonidis have been named as members of the committee, which is tasked with overseeing disciplinary proceedings and internal disputes.

Simultaneously, a new three-member Prosecutorial Committee was established, consisting of Stelios Nikolaou, Giorgos Pitros, and Kyriakos Chiras. This restructuring marks a significant change in the organization’s legal administration. Reports indicate that the appointment of a former judge to lead the Judicial Committee is intended to bolster legal standards and improve the handling of football-related disputes within the Cypriot league. The newly formed bodies assume their duties immediately to ensure the integrity and effective governance of upcoming football matters.
