Cyprus-born actor Jonny Coyne to headline Cyprus Comic Con 2026

Cyprus-born actor Jonny Coyne has been announced as a special guest for the upcoming Cyprus Comic Con 2026, scheduled to take place from October 2 to 4 at the Cyprus State Fair in Nicosia. Organizers described his attendance as a homecoming for the performer, who was born in Kaimakli and raised in Ayios Dometios before establishing a successful international career in film and television.

Coyne is best known for his recent portrayal of Imperial warlord Janu Coin in the Lucasfilm production The Mandalorian & Grogu, directed by Jon Favreau, and his earlier appearance as a member of the Imperial Shadow Council in the third season of The Mandalorian. His extensive filmography includes notable roles in The Blacklist, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Nightcrawler, The Family Plan, and The Hangover Part III. After training at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he has built a career spanning theatre and major cinema projects.

During the three-day event in Nicosia, fans will have the opportunity to participate in dedicated meet-and-greet sessions with the actor. Organizers have specified that a €20 special guest token will be required to access these sessions, allowing attendees to secure an autograph or a photograph with the Star Wars universe actor.
