Cyprus Union of Municipalities seeks new state funding formula

The Board of Directors of the Cyprus Union of Municipalities held a session on August 5, 2026, to review a new proposal from the Ministry of Interior regarding state grants for local authorities. In response, the board decided to immediately launch a series of consultations with the Minister of Interior and parliamentary parties to secure political consensus on the funding structure.
