Kyndryl expands distributed cloud capabilities via Microsoft partnership

On August 5, 2026, technology services provider Kyndryl announced the expansion of its Kyndryl Distributed Cloud capabilities. This initiative integrates Microsoft’s AI-powered adaptive cloud approach to help businesses modernize and simplify operations across hybrid, multicloud, edge, and IoT environments.

The new offering includes advisory, implementation, and managed services designed to unify IT operations. The services specifically leverage and connect with Microsoft Azure Arc, Azure Local, and Azure Cloud. According to Sunil Bhargava, Kyndryl’s senior vice president and Global Cloud Practice Azure Leader, the move aims to assist companies in managing increasingly complex IT environments while maximizing return on investment. Kyndryl’s expert team will provide direct support to clients for the integration of these services into existing IT infrastructures.
