Greek national teams achieve success in international water polo competitions

The Greek National U16 Water Polo Team secured a decisive 23-3 victory against Puerto Rico during the third round of the World Championship League Phase in Zagreb on August 5, 2026. Dominating the match from the start with a 7-0 lead in the first period, the team was led by top scorers Konstantinos Misentzhis, who netted six goals and earned MVP honors, and Albertis, who contributed five. This result keeps Greece on track for a quarter-final qualification as they prepare for a critical match against Hungary scheduled for August 6.

In addition to these junior achievements, the Greek Swimming Federation highlighted the professional and academic dedication of the senior men’s national team.
