Cyprus University of Technology announces annual Costas Tsielepis scholarships

The Student Welfare Association of the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) has announced the establishment of the annual Costas Tsielepis scholarships. Starting in September 2026, the program will provide a total of €3,000 annually to support students facing financial difficulties. The funding is supported by Costas Tsielepis & Co Ltd, which will contribute €2,000 per year, and Chelco VAT Ltd, which will provide €1,000.

The scholarships are intended for students enrolled in Finance or Management programs within the Department of Financial, Accounting and Administrative Science. Selection will be based on socioeconomic criteria to ensure that financial hardship does not impede students from completing their academic degrees. The awards are named after Costas Tsielepis, who founded his accounting firm in 1978, as a tribute to his professional journey from humble beginnings to a successful career.

By naming the initiative after the company's founder, the university aims to connect the life experience of a self-made professional with the next generation of students. This financial aid package represents a commitment to supporting young scholars during the early stages of their careers by mitigating the barriers caused by economic limitations.
