New scholarship programs launched at the Cyprus University of Technology

The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) has announced the establishment of two separate scholarship initiatives starting in September 2026 to support students facing financial difficulties. The 'Costas Tsielepis Scholarships,' with an annual total of €3,000, will be funded by Costas Tsielepis & Co Ltd (€2,000) and Chelco VAT Ltd (€1,000). These are designated for students in Finance or Management programs within the Department of Finance, Accounting, and Administrative Science, honoring the professional legacy of Costas Tsielepis, who founded his firm in 1978.

Simultaneously, the university will award ten scholarships of €1,000 each, totaling €10,000, funded by the 'Paidiki Hmera Agapis' Foundation. These awards are granted in memory of Marios Kathiotis, a founding member of the foundation. The foundation, established in 1993 by Kanal 6 and Round Table 6, aims to foster social solidarity and provide educational support for youth. Both initiatives seek to ensure that socio-economic barriers do not prevent students from successfully completing their academic studies at CUT.
