Olympiakos Nicosia announces signings of Konstantinos Christou and Pedro Sancho
Olympiakos Nicosia has strengthened its squad for the 2026-2027 season by signing two new midfielders. On August 6, 2026, the club announced the arrival of Cypriot player Konstantinos Christou, who signed a one-year contract. Christou is a product of Omonia Nicosia’s academy and spent the last three years playing for West Virginia University in the United States, where he made 65 appearances, scored one goal, provided eight assists, and served as team captain. He has previously represented Cyprus at the U19 and U21 international levels.
Following this, the club confirmed the signing of 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder Pedro Sancho on August 7, 2026, also on a one-year deal. Sancho joins from the Portuguese side Florgrade FC, where he recorded 23 appearances last season. Prior to his tenure at Florgrade FC, Sancho played for Valadares Gaia and Anadia. Both players are expected to bolster the club's midfield options under their respective one-year agreements, with the Portuguese player's contract specifically noted to run until May 2027.
