New digital services for Cyprus government payroll bank account updates launched

On Thursday, August 6, 2026, the Treasury of the Republic of Cyprus launched three new digital services via the government portal gov.cy. These services aim to streamline administrative processes by allowing active state officials, employees, hourly government staff, and pensioners to update the bank account details (IBAN) associated with their salary or pension payments.

The new functionality is located within the 'Salaries and Pensions of State Officials, Employees, and Hourly Government Personnel' section of the portal. By moving this process online, the Treasury intends to simplify the procedure, offering a secure and immediate method for public sector employees and retirees to manage their payment information without the need for manual paperwork.

This initiative is part of the government's broader ongoing commitment to digitizing state procedures and enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens. The services are currently active and available for all eligible users to utilize for necessary banking updates.
