Nissan Qashqai e-POWER sets Guinness World Record in Colombia
A Nissan Qashqai equipped with the new-generation e-POWER hybrid technology has officially secured a Guinness World Record title in Colombia. From July 14 to July 17, 2026, the vehicle traveled a total of 1,980 kilometers on a single tank of fuel without requiring any external charging or additional refueling stops.
The journey spanned from Bogotá to the Caribbean coast, traversing diverse terrains that included significant elevation changes, varying traffic conditions, and different road types. The entire trial was monitored and certified by official Guinness World Records adjudicators, confirming the real-world efficiency and reliability of the e-POWER system. This achievement serves as a demonstration of the hybrid technology's capability to deliver long-range performance without the need for traditional charging infrastructure.
This success follows similar long-distance trials conducted by Nissan in the United Kingdom and Australia, which aimed to showcase the technology’s balance of fuel economy and driving range. By completing this demanding route under varied environmental conditions, the company further solidified the international reputation of its e-POWER powertrain.
