AEK Athens signs Hungarian midfielder Milan Vitalis
AEK Athens officially announced the signing of 24-year-old Hungarian international midfielder Milan Vitalis on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The player, who arrived in Athens on Tuesday night, successfully passed his medical and ergometric examinations before signing a four-year contract that will keep him with the Greek club until the summer of 2030.
Vitalis joins AEK from Hungarian champions Gyori ETO, where he recorded 9 goals and 3 assists last season. A key figure in Gyori's championship run, he also established himself in the Hungarian national team, accumulating eight caps since his debut in September 2025. Given that he has already played in the Champions League and Conference League qualifiers for his former club, Vitalis is ineligible to participate in AEK's upcoming Champions League playoffs.
Following the completion of his transfer, the midfielder is set to begin training immediately under head coach Marko Nikolic at the Spata training facility. Having already participated in his previous club's pre-season and European qualifiers, Vitalis is considered match-fit and is expected to integrate into the team's rhythm without a significant adaptation period.
