Scheduled water supply suspension in central Limassol

The Limassol District Local Government Organisation (EOA Limassol) has announced a scheduled water supply suspension for Friday, 7 August 2026, affecting the area north of the Second Technical School in central Limassol. The interruption, necessitated by ongoing infrastructure works, will occur between 07:00 and 14:30. The streets impacted include Filippou Konstantinidi, Vasileiou Kousouli, Ypolochagou Nikolaou Papageorgiou, Nikolaou Lazarou, Leonida Christodoulou, Lochagou Kapota, Revekka, Agiou Andronikou, Stravinsky, and part of Aiolou Street.

This disruption is part of a larger project to replace 100 kilometers of the city's aging water network, aiming to reduce operational costs, minimize system failures, and improve water quality. The €9.2 million project, inaugurated on Thursday by EOA President Giannis Tsouloftas, is co-funded by the EU under the 'THALIA 2021-2027' Cohesion Policy Program.
