Eighteen-year-old in critical condition after electric bicycle incident in Limassol

An 18-year-old man is currently in critical condition at the Nicosia General Hospital after being found seriously injured in Limassol. The incident occurred on the night of Tuesday, August 4, 2026, when the teenager was discovered by relatives around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Makarios and Despina Pattichi avenues, lying next to his electric bicycle.

Upon initial medical assessment at Limassol General Hospital, the youth was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury. Due to the severity of his condition, he was subsequently transferred to the Nicosia General Hospital, where he remains intubated in the intensive care unit.
