Fatal motorcycle accident in Limassol claims the life of a 17-year-old
A 17-year-old teenager, Mario-Gabriel Argint, died on Tuesday, August 4, following a severe motorcycle accident in Limassol. The collision occurred on Sunday, August 2, at the intersection of Spyrou Araouzou coastal road and Anexartisias Street, where the victim’s motorcycle collided with a taxi.
According to the Limassol traffic police, the teenager was not wearing a protective helmet at the time of the incident. Initial testimonies suggest that the victim may have run a red light before the crash. The taxi driver involved passed an alcohol breathalyzer test, which returned a zero reading. The incident remains under investigation.
The funeral for the Romanian-born youth is scheduled for Friday, August 7, at 5:00 PM at the Church of Agia Varvara in Zakaki. The local community and the victim's family are grieving his passing, and authorities continue to examine the exact circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
