The University of Cyprus Library has announced expanded access to its special collections, which include incunabula, early printed books, and significant 19th-century editions. These materials are of high scientific and historical value, reflecting the evolution of typography, bookbinding, and editorial production. The collections were primarily assembled through private donations over time.

A central component of these holdings is the 'Georgios and Markisia Laganas Library' donation. While this collection is currently being digitized and added to the institution's electronic catalogue, interested researchers can utilize the printed catalogue titled 'Georgios and Markisia Laganas Library' (published by Ianos, 2018) to identify specific materials.

Access to these rare documents is strictly regulated to ensure their preservation. Interested parties may consult the items exclusively within the Library’s reading room from Monday through Friday, between 08:30 and 14:00. Users are required to employ specialized equipment provided by the Library to handle the documents safely. The institution continues to systematically process and catalogue additional items to enhance availability for the research community.
