Temporary traffic restrictions extended on Myrtou Street in Limassol

The Municipality of Limassol has announced the extension of temporary traffic restrictions on Myrtou Street, located in the Mesa Geitonia municipal district. These measures are required to facilitate ongoing construction work on the local sewage system managed by the Limassol Sewerage Board (EOA). The restrictions will remain in effect until Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Approved with the consent of the Chief of Police, the traffic management plan includes the installation of temporary traffic lights to regulate vehicle flow. Traffic on Myrtou Street is currently being directed in an alternating pattern. The municipality has urged drivers to exercise caution, maintain low speeds, and strictly adhere to the temporary road signage placed in the area.

Failure to comply with these regulations constitutes a violation of the Municipalities Law and the Limassol Municipal Regulations of 2006, which carry specified penalties for offenders. The local authorities have apologized to the public for the anticipated inconvenience and have requested patience as the essential infrastructure improvements reach completion.
