Traffic adjustments and parking closures announced in Limassol

The Municipality of Limassol has announced temporary traffic regulations and local closures as part of ongoing infrastructure and maintenance works. Traffic restrictions on Myrtou Street and Georgiou Kalogeropoulou Street, located in the Mesa Geitonia municipal district, will remain in effect until Saturday, September 12, 2026. These measures, implemented to facilitate the construction of the sewerage system by the Limassol Sewerage Board (EOA), include the installation of temporary traffic lights to allow for alternating vehicle passage.

In addition to the construction-related restrictions, the municipal parking lot on Spyrou Araouzou Street, near the Old Port, will be temporarily closed on Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 5:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to accommodate necessary maintenance works. Drivers are advised to utilize alternative parking facilities along the coastal road during this period. The municipality warns that violators of the traffic regulations face penalties under the Municipalities Law and the 2006 Limassol Municipal Regulations. Authorities urge motorists to exercise caution, maintain low speeds, and follow all temporary signage until the works conclude.
