Napoli targets Gabriel Jesus as Fenerbahce advances talks for Romelu Lukaku

Napoli is actively looking to reshape its attacking line, with Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus identified as the primary target to replace Romelu Lukaku. Reports indicate that the Italian club has already initiated contact with the Brazilian striker's agent, as he is currently outside of Mikel Arteta's main plans at Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Turkish club Fenerbahce has entered advanced negotiations to sign Romelu Lukaku from Napoli. According to journalist Nicolo Schira, an agreement in principle has been reached between the Istanbul-based club and the Belgian forward for a contract running until June 2028, with an option to extend for an additional year. Fenerbahce is now intensifying efforts to finalize a transfer fee with Napoli to complete the deal.

Lukaku has been with Napoli since the summer of 2024, recording 15 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions. The developments follow Fenerbahce’s recent acquisition of Mohamed Salah, signaling a major push by the Turkish club to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. Formal negotiations between Napoli and Fenerbahce regarding the financial compensation for the Belgian striker are currently ongoing.
