AEK Larnaca reorganizes roster and confirms pre-season friendly schedule

AEK Larnaca is actively restructuring its roster following an early exit from European competition. Management has expressed a willingness to exceed budget limits to secure necessary quality additions, despite currently filling all 17 spots for foreign and EU players. Head coach Mauro Camoranesi is currently evaluating different squad configurations, utilizing back-to-back domestic friendlies to ensure all players maintain match fitness before the start of the Cyprus League season.

The team recently defeated Karmiotissa 3-0 on August 7 and faced Omonia Aradippou the following day, with Camoranesi rotating the lineup to assess various personnel. Beyond these local tests, the club has finalized an international friendly match against Asteras Aktor, scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, at the Theodoros Kolokotronis Stadium in Tripoli, Greece. The squad will travel to Greece on August 11 and return on August 13.

Looking ahead, the club continues to monitor transfer opportunities to address identified weaknesses. The technical staff is preparing for the league opener against APOEL, focusing on building a cohesive unit that can meet the season's strategic goals.
