AEL Limassol cancels friendly match with Anorthosis
AEL Limassol and Anorthosis have officially canceled their scheduled friendly match, which was originally set for August 19. The decision was reached by mutual agreement between the two clubs after they were drawn to face each other in the opening round of the upcoming Cyprus League by Stoiximan. To avoid playing each other so close to the official league start, AEL Limassol has arranged an alternative friendly match against Krasava ENY Ypsonas, which will take place on the same date at the Ammochostos-Epistrofi stadium.
Following this adjustment, Anorthosis continues its final phase of preparation under coach Nestor El Maestro. The team is focusing on strengthening its defensive consistency after a series of successful closed-door tests in Poland. Anorthosis has confirmed a schedule of three remaining domestic friendly matches: against Nea Salamina on August 12, APOEL on August 16, and Karmiotissa on August 22. Coach El Maestro is currently managing a near-complete squad, focusing on tactical cohesion and offensive improvement ahead of the league's commencement.
