According to media reports, then-UEFA President Michel Platini was informed of the situation and sought explanations from Infantino, which ultimately led to the employee's departure. While UEFA has confirmed that a payment was made, the organization maintains that the process adhered to the regulations in place at that time, noting that these policies were updated in 2016.
