Apollon Limassol signs Joel Asoro from Metz

Apollon Limassol has officially completed the signing of 27-year-old Swedish-Nigerian winger Joel Asoro from the French club Metz. The deal was finalized on August 10, 2026, marking the ninth summer addition to the Cypriot team's roster. The player arrived in Limassol earlier in the week to undergo medical examinations and complete the procedural requirements before the official announcement was made via social media and SMS.

Asoro, who has previously played for Sunderland, Swansea, and Groningen and spent time on loan at Djurgården, has signed a two-year contract that keeps him at the club until May 2028.
