Hellenic Football Federation announces Greek Cup second preliminary round schedule
The Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) has officially released the schedule for the second preliminary round of the 2026/27 Greek Cup. This phase involves 22 teams, comprising the winners from the first round and nine Super League clubs without European commitments. The matches are scheduled to take place between August 17 and August 24, 2026, at various stadiums across Greece.
The winners of these 11 knockout ties will advance to the tournament's League Phase. They will join the five clubs already qualified for the competition due to their participation in European tournaments: AEK, Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, PAOK, and OFI. Notable fixtures include Athens Kallithea facing either Trikala or AEL Novibet on August 17, and Iraklis meeting Volos N.P.S. on the same day. One match between Kalamata and Panaitolikos on August 19 will be held behind closed doors.
This structure marks a critical stage in the early domestic season, determining the remaining participants before the transition to the broader League Phase format. The EPO has finalized the dates, venues, and kickoff times for the majority of these encounters, ensuring a clear path for the clubs aiming to progress in the prestigious domestic tournament.
