Nanu travels to Thessaloniki to join Iraklis

Iraklis FC is close to securing the signing of 32-year-old right-back Nanu, who has arrived in Thessaloniki as of August 8, 2026. The Portuguese-born defender, who represents the Guinea-Bissau national team with 32 international caps, is expected to finalize his transfer following the completion of standard medical and ergometric examinations.

Nanu, standing at 1.77 meters, brings extensive experience to the Greek side. Throughout his professional career, he has played for various clubs including Marítimo, Porto, Dallas, Santa Clara, and Samsunspor. Notably, he spent the previous season competing in the Cypriot league for APOEL before deciding to move to Thessaloniki to continue his career with Iraklis.

Once the player successfully clears all required medical tests, he is expected to sign his new contract with the club. This move represents a strategic reinforcement for Iraklis during the current summer transfer window as they prepare for the upcoming football season.
